The CMSA knows that not all members wish to turn Pro or will ever do so, so in keeping with our overall goal of serving both the Pro and Amateur alike, the CMSA has been looking for ways to offer more opportunities for ALL level of contestant to share the spotlight and win MAJOR cash and prizes. One way this goal will be realized is with the Eliminator. New in 2011 the Eliminator at CMSA championship events will be split Limited & Open (1-3 and 4-6) with the Top Ten Cowboy and Cowgirls from each group (40 total) coming back to run in the Showcase of Champions! The Showcase will now open with the Limited Eliminator and close with the Open Eliminator. All entry fee payback will STAY IN YOUR DIVISION and high end prizes like Colt revolvers and more will be presented based upon the Showcase performance.

The Cowboy Mounted Shooting Association is one of the Fastest Growing Equestrian Sports in the Nation. Mounted contestants compete in this fast action timed event using two .45 caliber single action revolvers each loaded with five rounds of specially prepared blank ammunition. The C.M.S.A. has a variety of levels of competition for everyone, ranging from novice levels to the seasoned professional. Courses of fire are set in a variety of patterns.
